The past few weeks, I’ve been experimenting with two very unique skincare products from a beautiful Australian-French brand called La Fervance, the Éclat Extraordinaire, and the Gommage Extraordinaire. I am so excited to share my thoughts with you all and tell you more about this lovely brand that my sensitive skin is so happy to have come across! As you all know, when it comes to what I choose to put in and on my body, I take extra care to ensure it’s as natural and unprocessed as possible. One of the main things about La Fervance that initially caught my attention is that the ingredients are selected from Australian and French origin, combining native botanicals of both countries — I find this quite innovative to see in the world of skincare!

The Éclat Extraordinaire & Gommage Extraordinaire are a wonderful duo that noticeably made a difference in my skin upon my first use. I love that these products are multi-functional too, each providing many specific ways to use them. The Éclat Extraordinaire is designed to provide an instant glow, while moisturising, toning, lifting, and plumping the skin. Whereas the Gommage Extraordinaire is a delicious exfoliating balm that is both incredibly gentle while active and effective.
Each being distinct in their ingredients, texture, benefits, and uses, they complement each other beautifully and create the perfect pair for a harmonious skin regime. I am a firm believer that less is more, and there’s no need to overcomplicate our skincare routine with tens of products lathered on our faces at one time! Éclat Extraordinaire
If I could describe the Eclat Extraordinaire in one word, it would absolutely be ‘glow’. This pot is literally creamy whipped gold! The first time I tried this, I applied it overnight and the next morning I noticed my skin tone was significantly more even, firm, lifted, and radiant. I’ve now been consistently using it for a few weeks and it’s such a delight to open up and nourish my skin with it each time.
The Eclat Extraordinaire is formulated with active ingredients sourced from France and Australia, such as mountain plant extracts, mimosa and jojoba extracts, baobab lifting gel, Buriti oil, Kakadu plum extract, vitamin E, 23K gold, pearly pigments, double hyaluronic acid from 100% pure HA sources, and pure seawater from the French Breton coasts. Together, the ingredients work together to provide an instant golden glow to the face, while moisturising, toning, lifting, plumping and smoothing the skin.
This is the first skincare product I’ve owned that contains gold, which is so exciting as there are actually a number of healthful skin benefits to this. The Eclat Extraordinaire contains 23K pure Italian, conflict-free gold that penetrates through the pores, helping to drain lymphatic buildup and helping to eliminate impurities. Gold also activates a process of cell regeneration, stimulates the production of elastin and collagen and helps blood circulation. The detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties of gold also protect the skin from toxins, while supplying the most natural radiance and lustre.
Another facet of the Eclat Extraordinaire that I appreciate is its multi-functionality, you can use it in many more ways than one! Here are the top three ways you can experience the golden glow:
Morning Ritual: For an instant golden glow, apply to your face and neck as the final step in your routine. Proceed as usual for “no makeup” radiance and leave on treatment, or follow with makeup and enjoy a perfectly smooth primer. This will lock in moisture and keep your skin hydrated for 24 hours.
Mask Ritual: The ultimate mask for whenever your skin needs a pick-me-up. Apply a thick layer to cleansed skin for at least 10 minutes. The Australian mountain harvest plant complex is included to clear, calm and heal the skin. The French 100% double hyaluronic acid nourishes and plumps while the Mimosa (Australian wattle extract) is regenerating. When water is added, the ester base will transform into an oil upon massage and become a milky emulsion that can be easily removed.
Sleep Ritual: Personally my favourite way to use! Wake up to a lit-from-within glow by simply applying a moderate layer to the face and neck after cleansing. I recommend massaging your face and decolletage with a gua sha stone to increase circulation, lift, tone, drain lymphatic fluid and decrease puffiness. This will also calm stress and enhance penetration for better results.
Overall, I would recommend the Éclat Extraordinaire to anyone and everyone. This is by far one of the most impressive skin products I’ve tried.
Gommage Extraordinaire
In the past, I’ve found it quite difficult to find an exfoliant mask that works with my skin, and that doesn’t cause redness or irritation. I avoided exfoliating for a while but when I started using the Gommage Extraordinaire, an exfoliating mask, I realised how the right scrub can drastically regenerate your skin and allow for other products to absorb more effectively too!
The Gommage Extraordinaire is designed as the perfect partner to the Éclat Extraordinaire. This sugar ester emulsion gradually changes into an oil during massage, releasing natural exfoliating agents and giving off a slight heated sensation. The formula also becomes milky with water during rinsing! I love this product because it’s gentle and soothing for my sensitive skin, and exfoliates dead cells without causing any irritation. It’s deeply nourishing and leaves my skin looking brighter with a more even tone, and feeling ultra silky and renewed.
I am quite fascinated by the selection of ingredients for the Gommage Extraordinaire, not only are they each incredibly effective, but they give the product the most refreshing scent and luxurious texture. The Gommage Extraordinaire features macadamia seed powder, French quartz sand and organic sugar for exfoliation. It contains a combination of tropical fruits grown in Australia including mango, papaya and pineapple extracts — this complex is rich in proteolytic enzymes and has free radical scavenging activity. It also features vegetable charcoal from silica-rich bamboo, olive stones from Provence, pure seawater, and French red algae!
A unique facet of the Gommage Extraordinaire is that it’s moisturising in addition to fading away uneven skin pigmentation. Most exfoliants out there that I’ve tried and tested feel like they’ve dehydrated my skin and exfoliated too far, causing redness and sensitivity. The Gommage Extraordinaire leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated after a deep clean and renewal!
Just like the Éclat Extraordinaire, the Gommage Extraordinaire has multiple ways you can use it in your skincare routine:
Perfect Exfoliant: Scoop some gommage with its spatula, active between your fingertips, and apply to your entire face and neck. Massage in gentle circular motions, then wet fingers and continue the emulsion massage, whilst releasing the vibrant, tropical scent! Then rinse.
Purifying Treatment: Scoop the gommage using its spatula, active between fingertips, and apply to the T-Zone (forehead, nose, and chin). Allow to penetrate for a few minutes. Massage gently, then wet fingertips, continue the emulsion massage, and rinse.
Beauty Flash: Scoop a generous amount of the gommage with its spatula, rub between fingers and apply to sections of the face and neck until these areas are well covered. Leave for at least ten minutes or longer if desired. Resume the message, then wet fingers to create a massage emulsion. Rinse.
Follow with a thin layer of the Eclat Extraordinaire to complete your La Fervance skin ritual!
